These markings are from a lion. By the look of them, this one's especially large. The leader of the nearby pride, most likely. If rumor spreads about a man-eating lion prowling around on my watch, Demar will be furious. Fortunately, I have a plan. I can make a whistle that mimics the call of a wounded tallstrider. We can use that to lure the beast out. I'll just need one of their beaks to give it the right sound. There's tallstriders all over the plains. Get me a beak, and make it snappy!
